The German and the Scotch, das sind zum einen Paul Gough, ein gebürtiger Schotte, der seit Jahrzehnten im Raum Paderborn sesshaft und ebenso lange als Sänger und Gitarrist in verschiedenen Bands unterwegs ist.
Paul , Energiebündel und Rampensau pur, hat die Fähigkeit , das Publikum immer mitzunehmen und seine enorme Spielfreude rüber zu bringen .
Zum anderen Stephan Kießling, seit 40 Jahren in verschiedenen Folk- / Country- und Rock Formationen unterwegs , spielt alles an Gitarren, akustisch, elektrisch und slide . Ebenso als Sänger und Songschreiber unterwegs , ist er für die Kompaktheit des Sounds zuständig. Mit seinem filigranen Gitarrenspiel und Background Gesang unterstützt er Paul optimal und sorgt für die nötige Dynamik und Abwechslung.
Beide zusammen , ergänzen sich musikalisch wunderbar, schöpfen ihre live Performance aus einem riesigen Repertoire an Cover- und eigenen Stücken, aus bekannten und unentdeckten Schätzen der Musikgeschichte der letzen 60 Jahre. Mit leisen und lauten Momenten. Dabei geht es vom klassischen Songwriter wie David Gray und Paul Weller über die Eurythmics und Bryan Adams bis hin zu Eric Clapton , den Beatles und Johnny Cash , für jeden etwas dabei.
