Her poetry has appeared in Cold River Press: Voices Anthology, Sundog, Haunted Waters Press, Indent Literary Journal, Finishing Line Press, and Blackberry, among others. Publications for her creative nonfiction essays include Essay Daily, The Broiler: A Journal of New Literature, Poetry Midwest, and Pithead Chapel Press. Graham has served as a literary editor and judge for local and national writing competitions. Graham earned her MFA in Poetry from California State University Fresno, and teaches at California State University Monterey Bay and Fresno City College. Her third book of poetry, Forever, Becomes, is scheduled for release in 2026. In addition, she is currently seeking publication for a collection of creative nonfiction essays, Burn Scars. Her book Gray Matter was chosen by Susan Wheeler for the Poets Out Loud Prize and nominated for a Colorado Book Award. Her work has been supported by a Wallace Stegner fellowship from Stanford University, grants from the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, the Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg prize, as well as fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, Virginia Center for the Arts, the Marble House Project, and the Bread Loaf and Community of Writers’ conferences. Recent poems and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in the American Poetry Review, Copper Nickel, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Kenyon Review , New England Review, Orion Magazine, Ecotone, Poetry Northwest, Terrain.org, and elsewhere. She teaches creative writing and environmental humanities at Stanford. * * * Our next reading will be held on December 13, featuring Carolyn Brigit Flynn and Maggie Paul. * * * The Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium seeks to showcase the finest talents of the diverse Central Coast literary community, from Big Sur to Santa Cruz to the Salinas Valley and beyond. Free readings are held on the second Saturday of each month at the Pacific Grove Public Library. All are welcome.
