We will be having two discussions: the history of the Militant Tendency, and lessons from the 1934 Teamsters General Strike. Both of these subjects are rich with lessons for the growing class struggle today. Today, the word "general strike" again holds a place in the minds of American workers. We need to understand how to organize such a strike! Our faith in bothe of the ruling parties has crumbled and they are looking for more radical solutions. Now we need our own party! Marxists have learned from history that a revolutionary party must be consciously built, in advance, to lead the workers as they come to more radical conclusions in their fight against the capitalist system--and ultimately to do away with that system and build a new one. The RCA is building this party, and we want you to come learn about the lessons of history with us at our day school. Doors will open at 9:30am, and our discussion will start at 10am sharp!
