Performed in Robert Icke’s lucid, luminous translation, Anton Chekhov’s tragicomic drama asks what happens to us as the environment breaks down around us. How can we cope knowing we’ve done it to ourselves?

After acclaimed productions of Lucy Kirkwood’s The Children and Ella Hickson’s The Writer, Fennec Fox Productions returns to tackle Chekhov’s ecological masterpiece.
