Explorations in Psycho-Spiritual Care: Creativity and human flourishing 2019
A series of four personal and professional development workshops for health & social care professionals, counsellors & psychotherapists, chaplains & faith leaders who want to deepen their practice of psycho-spiritual care.

Each day begins at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Teas and coffees included.

Workshop 1: 17 September

Breath-Sound-Voice; exploring the building blocks for authentic communication through music
This session will work with the basic building blocks of musical communication (breath-sound-voice and body rhythm) to build confidence in our ability to communicate and connect beneath and beyond words.
Workshop 2: 15 October

This workshop will feature drama games and exercises to help you step back and reflect, and we will share actors’ tools to help you feel ready and to be present in day to day life.
Workshop 3: 19 November
Dr Jim Harris, Andrew W Mellon Foundation Teaching Curator, Ashmolean Museum
Then and Now: the museum as reflective and recreative space
NB: morning session at Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
This session will explore Jim’s work with psychiatrists and the capacity of museum collections to stimulate agile, inclusive, and restorative conversations.
Workshop 4: 10 December

The Work before the Work: Exploring our Imagination
In this session we will enjoy our own creativity and explore how the creative process can be used to increase our wellbeing.
