There is a fungus among us! All around us, mushrooms are aiding in the cycle of life everyday. Some fungi have known their place in human history for centuries. Both medicinally and spiritually, they have played a crucial role in our planet’s development.
In this class, we will be exploring the vast uses of some very unique mushrooms. There are a ton of fungus out there but I will mainly be covering my favorite three:
• Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus): This mushroom has shown great promise in helping your brain! A nootropic mushroom that has recently bloomed in popularity. Most don’t know about this unique mushrooms uses and spiritual meaning in nature.
• Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum, G. tsugae): The mushroom of Immorality! This adaptagenetic mushroom has been revered throughout history for it’s possible longevity promoting powers. There are 2 species we will be talking about where one is native to Asia and the other is a native to Pennsylvania! They say you don’t go looking for Reishi, but Reishi finds you.
• Turkey Tail (Trimetes versicolor): Gobble, gobble! This colorful mushroom is one that once you know how to identify it, you will see it everywhere. Boasting colors such as blue, red and even green. The possible immune benefits of this mushroom make it another that has reached viral popularity.
Mushrooms should be respected. They hold so many mysterious that we are just discovering each day! Come be apart of the wonderful world of fungi.
