This half-day session will provide an introduction to research administration at Oxford. It will begin with an introduction to the policy and funding environment affecting research in the UK higher education sector. We will take a research project through each stage of the life cycle at Oxford, from the idea through to final reporting, highlighting the support offered to researchers, key units (and the linkages between them), procedures, systems and further opportunities to learn more.
It is an interactive session tracking the life of a research project (including the up and downs) with opportunities for questions, hypotheticals and group discussion. Speakers will include representatives from Research Services and Research Accounts.
The workshop will be given four times this year and is for Oxford University employees only, with the next ones taking place:
All workshops will take place in the ground floor Social Space, 5 Worcester Street, Oxford OX1 2BX.
Tea and coffee will be available from 09:30 for a prompt start at 10:00.
This is an in-person workshop and places are limited. Please only book a place on the workshop if you can definitely attend. A reserve list will operate. Thank you.
