- **Event Description**: As part of our weekend-long celebration of Johnson County's recent designation as a Bird Friendly Iowa community, join the Iowa City Bird Club for a Beginner Bird Walk. This will be beginner level walk. The first section of the walk will be held around the 1/2 mile loop behind the Conservation Education Center. Folks who need a shorter walk can then return to the CEC but folks who want to continue on a longer bird walk will have the option to continue on. 

Binoculars are available for loan or you are welcome to bring your own. 

This bird walk will take place during the Bird Friendly Iowa themed Conservation Education Center open house. The open house runs from 12:00 - 3:00 pm, so be sure to stop by and enjoy self-guided activities in the center before or after the bird walk.
