WHAT IS THE WORKSHOP ABOUT?

“Ecstasy is an egoless, timeless state of being. It’s a state of total alignment and unity. Unity of body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit. It is what we need to heal our psychic dismemberment. We can’t access it if we are divided, body against mind, mind against heart, or any other way. We can only reach ecstasy through wholeness. One way to experience being whole is through meditation. The purpose of meditation is to still the mind and surrender to the moment. Gabrielle Roth wrote an entire book on ecstasy and how to get there through the map of the 5Rhythms. Contrary to popular belief, ecstasy is not just confined to the rhythm of Lyrical or Chaos, but can be found in all of the rhythms individually, and when danced as a Wave. In this 2-day workshop, we will dive into the transformative power of the 5Rhythms practice and explore different gateways to ecstasy through dance, through each of our senses, through presence, and through connection with the self and with others.

PREREQUISITES

No experience or prerequisites required. Just your curiosity, commitment to be present, and an open heart.
