- **Event Description**: Companion Pet Rescue is participating in the nationwide Shelter Slumber Pawty again this year! During this event, shelters across the country join together to show their communities what it's like for pets living in a shelter setting, how much work goes on behind the scenes to care for the animals, how vital volunteer power is to their organizations, and to raise money for their shelters.

As a part of this amazing event, volunteers are spending 24 hours at Where Sit Happens Dog Training center in Oxford. They'll be sharing their experiences on their own social media platforms while trying to raise at least $1,000 each for CPR! Over the last two years, CPR was able to raise over $35,000 for the rescue and that helped to ensure they could take in pups no matter their medical condition.

The Pawty kicks off April 18th at 1pm and runs for 24 hours.
