Join the OHTM and The Ninety-Nines at the Science and Industry Center at Owls Head Transportation Museum on March 14 from 9:00-11:00 AM for a special aviation experience designed for girls ages 8-12. Led by the inspiring women of the The Ninety-Nines, this hands-on program introduces young learners to the exciting world of flight in a way that is empowering, educational, and seriously fun.
Participants will rotate through four interactive stations:
Women in Aviation Presentation
Learn about the trailblazing lady aviators who paved the way for future women pilots and discover how girls today can follow in their footsteps.
Forces of Flight
A hands-on STEM activity focused on drag, one of the four forces of flight. Students will experiment, build, and see science in action.
Aviators Search
Explore the Owls Head Transportation Museum with an aviation-themed scavenger hunt that turns learning into an adventure.
ATC Runway Simulation
Step into the world of aviation communication with a mock air traffic control pattern, complete with runway movement and the phonetic alphabet.
This is more than a morning program. It is a chance for girls to see themselves in STEM, build confidence, and connect with real women in aviation who once stood exactly where they are now.
