Fees:
• 3on3 Tourney entry fee is $15 per player 
• 3-Point Competition entry fee will be $10 per participant 
• $4 gate fee for all fans 13 years and older, $2 gate fee for fans 5-12 years old that are not 
participating in 3on3 Tourney
Double elimination tourney for each of three different age divisions with random draw. Male and 
female teams will play in same age divisions. Teams can select either the ‘A’ division (starting or 
contributing players on school teams) or the ‘B’ division (players that will struggle to compete with 
the ‘A’ division players). A and B divisions will be available pending the number of teams. If not
enough B division teams, tourney organizer will contact B teams to determine how team wants to 
proceed. Four half court games will be played at same time. All games will be played on 10 ft goals. 
• 3rd/4th grades A and B divisions - will use 28.5” ball
• 5th/6th grades A and B divisions - will use 28.5” ball
• 7th/8th grades A and B divisions - will use 29.5” ball
Event will likely be capped at 40 total teams. HOLD YOUR SPOT BY EMAILING kofc3on3@gmail.com 
AND INCLUDE TEAM NAME (optional), PLAYERS NAMES, GRADES, AND ‘A’ OR ‘B’ DIVISION. YOU 
WILL GET AN EMAIL RESPONSE FROM THE ORGANIZER CONFIRMING YOUR TEAM HAS BEEN 
ACCEPTED. Team registration and payment (cash or venmo) will occur on December 13 at the event. 
All participants must hold Knights of Columbus, its councils and members, and the Town of Owensville
harmless. 
Times for the event:
• Doors open at 3:15pm 
• 3rd/4th must be registered by 3:45pm and games will start by 4:00pm 
• 5th/6th must be registered by 4:15pm and games will start as early as 4:30pm
• 7th/8th must be registered by 5:45pm and games will start as early as 6:00pm 
3-Point Competition will occur prior to each age division’s first games. The same three age divisions 
will apply as 3on3 Tourney. 3-Point Competition participants will register at the event and not in 
advance.

3on3 Tourney
Three players on court per team. Subs are allowed as long as registered on the team. Male and female
teams will all play in the same age divisions. 3rd through 6th grade divisions will use women’s size 28.5 
inch basketball. 7th and 8th grade division will use men’s size 29.5 inch basketball. If a team in the 7th and 
8th grade division has three female players, a 28.5 inch women’s ball will be used for that game.
Each game will be played to 7 points or 10 minutes long with a running clock. All made baskets will be 
worth 1 point including free throws and 3-Point shots. Fouls shots will be a max of one free throw 
attempt per foul.
All possession changes will require teams to take the ball and the player fully past the 3-Point line at the 
top of the key before advancing the ball. After a made basket or dead ball, the ball must be checked by 
the defense to the offense behind the 3-Point line at the top of the key. After checking the ball, the 
offensive player with the ball is allowed to dribble, pass, or shoot. After any made basket, the possession 
changes to the other team unless the shooter was fouled in the act of shooting. 
Fouls will be called by the referee. A foul called in the act of shooting and missed, will result one free 
throw attempt worth one point. A foul called in the act of shooting and made, will result in one point and 
the same team getting the ball back again. A non-shooting foul will result in a team foul and the ball will 
be given back to the offense. The third team foul, including shooting fouls, will result in a bonus free 
throw situation resulting in one free throw. Players cannot foul out of a game. 
The tourney brackets will be an automated random draw. Each team will play rock-paper-scissors for first 
possession. The three-second rule in the free throw lane will apply. Substitutions may be made after a 
basket or a dead ball. No timeouts are allowed. A team may start or finish a game with less than three 
players on the court. 
If the 10 minute time period ends, the team with the most points is the winner. If the game is tied after 
time has expired, each player at the end of regulation (3 players max) will each shoot one free throw. The 
team that makes the most free throws is the winner of the game. If the free throw situation results in a 
tie, the same six players will each shoot one free throw again and the process will continue until there is a 
winner. Good sportsmanship is expected. Any issues will cause the necessary team to be eliminated from 
the tourney. 
3-Point Competition
Each age division will be separate. 3rd/4th grade will shoot from 15ft. Other two groups will shoot from 
high school 3-Point line. Each player will get 60 seconds to shoot as many shots as possible. Rebounder 
helpers will be available. The top four players with the most made shots or tied for those made shots will 
have a second 60 second shoot-out. Tie-breakers will be an additional 30 second shoot-outs until there is 
a winner.
