Homebrewed Comedy at the John Barleycorn Tavern

The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, March 4. Jesse Winterhalter is headlining the show and Josh Prygon and Trebor Finnegan are joining host Mike Peters.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

Trebor Finnegan is a stand-up comic from Buffalo, who performs all across the state at bars, clubs and anywhere anybody will have him. Broke and in his mid-20s, he’s likely having an existential crisis in his living room right now.

Josh Prygon is a young, stand-up comic from Buffalo. He performs at bars, clubs and thrift-store basements across the state. When not doing stand-up, he’s arguing with his family about the dishes, having trouble walking his dog or beefing with Italian people.

Jesse Winterhalter is comedian from Buffalo N.Y. In addition to headlining his own shows, he worked with some of the country's best comics, including Colin Quinn, Big Jay Oakerson, Robert Kelly, Kurt Metzger and many others. He’s performed at The National Comedy Center in Jamestown, N.Y., and a variety of comedy clubs around the country. He is also on the "Bourbon Legends" podcast and runs a weekly show at Milkies on Elmwood.
