Get Rooted at Bull Thistle Art Gallery: Yoga & Sound Among the Moths

Step out of the chill and into the soft, luminous warmth of Bull Thistle Art Studio & Gallery for an evening designed to ground your body, quiet your mind, and awaken your spirit.

Join Amber Twigg of The Rooted Twigg for a 90-minute experience blending empowering movement, mindful meditation, and a restorative sound journey - all set beneath Umbraphora - a luminous moth-inspired installation by The Dreamwood. Named for the interplay of "umbra" (shadow) and "phora" (bearing light), Umbraphora celebrates transformation and illumination within the dark. The installation is part of Bull Thistle's November exhibition featuring moth and butterfly-inspired works by regional artists.

As the Sun moves into Sagittarius, we're invited to embrace our inner fire: to move, expand, and shine before softening into stillness. Like the lunar moth, we move through transformation - shedding what no longer serves, finding light within the dark, and emerging renewed.

This gathering is a moment to move with intention, share warmth and gratitude, and reconnect with both others and yourself.

The Evening includes:

• 60 minutes of heart-opening yoga and guided meditation
• 30 minutes of immersive sound with crystal bowls and chimes
• Space to linger, reflect, and admire the gallery's art in its quiet afterglow

Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in. Bring a yoga mat, water, a curious mind, and an open heart. Cozy layers and socks are encouraged for the sound portion.

Amber Twigg is a 200-hour certified vinyasa yoga instructor and trained sound facilitator based in the Southern Tier of New York. Through The Rooted Twigg, she creates soulful gatherings that weave movement, sound, nature, and mindfulness into experiences designed to help others find joy and reconnect with their inner rhythm.

Her classes blend intuitive flow and sound healing in a lighthearted, grounding approach that invites students to root deeply and rise gently.

About the Artist - Jill Hoffman of The Dreamwood

Jill Hoffman, creator of The Dreamwood, is a mixed-media artist whose work lives at the threshold between the seen and unseen. Guided by nature, myth, and transformation, she crafts dreamlike worlds that explore what it means to be in quiet conversation with the wild and the divine.

Her newest collection, Umbraphora, invites us into the hush between light and shadow - where metamorphosis unfolds. Through her hand-built textures, soft illumination, and organic materials, each piece becomes a meditation on renewal, stillness, and becoming.

Through the Dreamwood, Jill reminds us that art, like nature, is both mirror and medicine - a space to breathe, transform, and rediscover wonder.
