October American Legion Post 243 Flag Retirement Ceremony

Come out and help the American Legion Oviedo Memorial Post 243 with its upcoming Flag Retirement Ceremony. The Legion provides a fantastic educational piece on the history of our Country, the Flag, and formal etiquette for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the retirement of U.S. Flags that are no longer fit for display. Packs, Troops, Ships, and Posts are invited. If you haven’t participated before, or have and are willing to help out again, these are truly great opportunities for our scouts. Check out our July 14th post on our district page to see some photos/videos of this ceremony. Please arrive by 9am. The ceremony begins at 9am and runs for approximately 2 hours.
