- **Event Description**: MAP CHURCH SECURITY & ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING will  be conducting a four hour seminar at HEARTLAND CHURCH  in Ovid, MI on Saturday, JANUARY 31st from 11 AM to 3 PM. MAP is an extension ministry of Durand Church of God.  
The cost for the seminar is $35 per person. 
Pre-registration is requested to :
admin@heartlandchurchovid.com We do take walk-ins on the day of the seminar, but would strongly recommend pre-registration.  The class is not only for security personnel. It is for EVERYONE who attends a church. 
The greeters at the door often are the first people who will encounter a threat, therefore they need to be trained on what to look for and how to respond. Similarly all staff, volunteers and members of the church need to be on the same page if an incident occurs.
The class is taught by an Attorney/Police Officer and a team of local and federal police officers.  The first two hours consists of lecture explaining applicable statutes and the MAP program.  The remaining two hours consists of practical exercises with our police officers as the trainers.  MAP has trained 129 mid Michigan churches since 2017, so please take advantage of this opportunity.
