During the Revolution, women kept family farms and businesses going and provided supplies and financial support for the war, as well as remarkable stories of women who took up arms themselves. Mrs. Bullock will also discuss the often-forgotten role of native and enslaved women.

Leawood resident Denise McNickle Bullock is the current State Regent of the Kansas Society of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She worked in the radio business and corporate sales for several years. She joined DAR in 1982 and is a member of the Sagamore Chapter in Leawood. She has served in many positions within the Sagamore Chapter, the Kansas Society, and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
