Like so many of you, our hearts have been with our community these past days as the wildfire has touched so many lives, including some of our own cast and crew. Because of this, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our 2026 melodrama, How the West Was Worn, originally scheduled for July 17-20.

We know how much you look forward to this show, and we're so grateful for your support.

We're working to bring the show back to you within the year. Things are still uncertain right now, but we promise to keep you posted as soon as we have real dates to share.

Your ticket will simply carry over to the new dates. 

We understand that uncertain scheduling may be especially hard if you're visiting our area, so please email our Executive Director Heather at heather@thewrightoperahouse.org and let us know if you'd like a refund instead.

You're also welcome to turn your ticket into a donation; the fires have taken a real toll on businesses and nonprofits across our community, and right now, your support means more than ever. Whatever you choose, we're grateful you're with us.

This community has always shown up for each other, and for the Wright, and that means more to us than we can say. 

We hope to see you Saturday, July 18th, the same night How the West Was Worn was set to run, when we'll be screening the Ouray documentary Echoes in the Canyon instead. It sold out at its premiere, so we're glad to bring it back.
