Oulu on Suomen pyöräilykaupunki  ja 14.6 se näyttää taas miksi. Circus Festival Ou ja Oulu Urban Culture ry yhdistävät voimansa ja tekevät yhdestä pyöräilyreitistä jotain aivan muuta kuin tavallista. 

Koe Circus Festival Ou x Cyclemania. 

Lähtö Pikisaaresta klo 13.30. Siitä alkaa noin tunnin mittainen kulkue kohti Hiukkavaaran Sirkuskylää ja matka on vähintään yhtä tärkeä kuin määränpää. Reitin varrella odottaa sirkus yllätyksiä ja yhteisöllisiä hetkiä. Live-musiikista huolehtii Väylävirasto, eli Roku Rousu & Heguevara,  jotka polkevat ja soittavat samaan aikaan. Koska miksi ei? 

Sirkus esityksiin lipun ostajat saavat ilmaisen popcornin, jonka lunastetaan lähtöpaikalla saadulla kivellä. Ei ihan tavallinen kivi,  se on käsintyöstetty teos, joka palaa kulkueen mukana Hiukkavaaraan. Jokainen Pyöräilijä jättää pienen palan itsestään festivaalialueelle. Kivet: Veeran Verstas

Tämä on oululainen tapa tehdä kulttuuria-  yhdessä, pyörällä.

WHEELS ROLLING, CIRCUS BOUND

Oulu is Finland's cycling city  and on 14 June, it shows why once again. Circus Festival Ou and Oulu Urban Culture are joining forces to turn one cycling route into something unlike anything you'd expect.
Experience Circus Festival Ou x Cyklemania.

Departure from Pikisaari at 13:30. From there, a roughly one-hour procession sets off towards the Circus Village in Hiukkavaara  and the journey is at least as important as the destination. Along the way, expect circus surprises and moments of pure community. Live music comes courtesy of Väylävirasto,  aka Roku Rousu &Heguevara. Cycling and palying music,  because why not? 

Festival ticket holders receive a free popcorn, redeemed at the starting point using a stone handed out at departure. Not just any stone, it's a handcrafted piece of art that travels back with the procession to Hiukkavaara. Every cyclist leaves a small piece of themselves at the festival grounds. 
This is the Oulu way of making culture  - together, by bike.

Join at any point along the route - the procession is open to everyone.
