Glenys Marshall and Maggie May Harder are an award-winning comedy duo known for their sketch, improv, standup, music, and being the first to suggest charades at house parties. Together, they consistently keep audiences in a delicious limbo of befuddled and enthralled, and delight in finding new ways to surprise the spectators as well as each other. Founded on queer liberation, anti-capitalist rhetoric, and getting a little bit gross, this show is like a late night cartoon you’re staying up past your bedtime to watch. Come watch their residency at the Gladstone, featuring brand new sketch, standup, and music that will make you go “Haha! What was that?”

Level up at gladstone

Level Up! is The Gladstone’s flagship mentorship and production initiative, designed to break down barriers for local, emerging, and equity-deserving theatre creators. Generously supported by Ottawa Community Foundation and Canadian Heritage, we are proud to be providing two proven (and promising) artists with fully subsidized access to our Mainstage, professional technical direction, marketing support, and 1-on-1 mentorship from local producer David Whiteley to elevate these “stage-ready” indie works into a fully realized professional runs. It gets right to the heart of our theatre communities’ call: keeping performance space affordable and accessible while building a more diverse, vibrant future for Ottawa-Gatineau theatre.

Francophones & anglophones, students & seniors, queers, weirds, trans, IBPOC and native Canadians alike are warmly invited to join either individual performance or to Level Up! their experience by making your evening a double feature; supporting two of the most exciting voices of the next gen of local theatre makers right here at the Gladstone.

Level Up! est l’initiative phare du Gladstone en matière de mentorat et de production, conçue pour éliminer les obstacles auxquels font face les créateurs de théâtre locaux, émergents et issus de groupes défavorisés. Grâce au généreux soutien de l’OCF et de Patrimoine canadien, nous sommes fiers d’offrir à deux projets un accès entièrement subventionné à notre scène principale, une direction technique professionnelle, un soutien en marketing ainsi qu’un mentorat individuel dispensé par le producteur local David Whiteley, afin de transformer leurs œuvres indépendantes en productions professionnelles abouties.
