Bring your Halloween pumpkins to the Osgoode Township Museum for a smashing good time! Smash your pumpkins, play some historic lawn games and enjoy some museum-made treats for sale. Pumpkin pieces will become compost for OTM’s heritage garden - The pumpkins will help create a nutrient dense soil ammendment for our fruits and vegetables and also help redirect Jack-o-Lanterns from the landfill.
Participants are required to provide their own pumpkin as well as a tool to smash your pumpkin with. Close toed shoes and eye protection (sunglasses, glasses, safety goggles) are required. See guidelines below.
Permitted Tools: Blunt Items, Rocks, Shovel, Hammer, Mallet
Restricted Items: Blades or Sharp Objects, Firearms, Chainsaws and Weedwhackers
