Policy Options, in partnership with the Max Bell School of Public Policy, is hosting a series of in-depth conversations on key policy issues that could — or should — form part of the debate during the federal election campaign in 2019. Register now for the series and save money (click on the registration button to see other options).
The first event in this breakfast series will focus on how to improve Canada’s tax system. The Fall Economic Update contained a handful of tax measures designed to keep our businesses competitive with those of the United States. But what about the many other aspects of our tax system that might also need to be changed? For example, is it adequately addressing the changes occurring in the economy, in society? How does our system compare with those of other countries? Are there ways to make it less complex?
The panel discussion will feature Jennifer Robson (Carleton University), Allison Christians (McGill University), Bruce Ball (CPA Canada) and moderator Jennifer Ditchburn (Policy Options).
