About the authors: 
Monty Reid was born in Saskatchewan, worked for many years in Alberta, BC and Quebec, and now lives in Ottawa. His Meditatio Placentae was published by Brick Books in 2016. Previous books include Garden (Chaudiere), The Luskville Reductions (Brick), and CrawlSpace (Anansi) as well as chapbooks such as Kissing Bug (Phafours), Moan Coach (above/ground) and Site Conditions (Apt 9). His recently-updated A Gran Zoo is forthcoming and his current project, Intelligence, is nearing completion. He haswon Alberta’s Stephansson Award for Poetry on three occasions, the Lampman Award, two national magazine awards, and is a 3-time nominee for the Governor-General’s Award. He is currently the Managing Editor for Arc Poetry Magazine and Festival Director at VerseFest, Ottawa’s international poetry festival.

Yvonne Blomer is the Poet Laureate of Victoria, British Columbia. Born in Zimbabwe, she has lived in Japan and England and has cycled in Southeast Asia, Japan, Mexico, Canada, France and the UK. Her most recent poetry collection is As if a Raven (Palimpsest Press, 2014). Her first book of poems a broken mirror, fallen leaf was shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award.Yvonne resides in Victoria, BC.

nina jane drystek is a poet, writer of miscellany and arts organizer working in Ottawa. Her poetry has appeared in canthius, Bywords, in/words, Ottawater, Window Cat Press, Small Talk and self-published chapbooks. She has studied poetry in Vilnius, Lithuania and Manchester England and has a BA in Creative Writing from Concordia University, and an MA in Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph. In Ottawa she works for the Ottawa Writers Festival, sits on the prose editorial board of Arc Poetry Magazine and volunteers with Versefest. Her most recent poetic endeavour is an exploration of performance and sound poetry as part of Messagio Galore. She can be found riding her red bicycle around Ottawa from poetry readings to arts events, work to home.
