Ottawa opens its doors to dancers from every corner! For 26 years, the Ottawa Swing Dance Society has built a joyful community of music and movement. Now it’s your turn to join the celebration.
Join us for three unforgettable days packed with live music, fierce battles, and nonstop dancing in the nation’s capital.
🎶Friday, Nov 14 – Gordon Webster Trio Live
Kick off the weekend with the legendary Gordon Webster Trio!
Doors open 7:45 PM, beginner lesson will be taught by the amazing Jamie Blair and Vincent Bedard of Riverside Swing, band plays 9:00–11:45 PM, followed by a late-night DJ till 1:00 AM.
💃 Saturday & Sunday, Nov 15–16 – Workshop Weekend w/ Alyssa & Nicholas
Grow your skills and dance with friends old and new. Join Alyssa Beard & Nicholas Tran for two days of partnered and solo classes at St. John the Evangelist (154 Somerset St. W @ Elgin).
Workshop will run 1:00–6:00 PM each day with a lunch break.
🥁Saturday, Nov 15 – Battle of the Bands
We’re bringing back the spirit of the legendary Savoy Ballroom, where battles of the bands defined the Big Band era. Two powerhouse groups will face off right here in Ottawa for the title of swing supremacy: Michaël Srey Legacy Band (Montréal) v.s. Johnny Vegas All-Star Band (Ottawa) One stage, two bands, endless energy (no breaks) who will win your applause?
Doors open 8:30 PM. The battle runs 9:00–11:45 PM, then DJ Nick Tran till 1:00 AM.

Les portes ouvrent à 19 h 45, une leçon pour débutants sera offerte par les formidables Jamie Blair et Vincent Bédard de Riverside Swing.
Le groupe jouera de 21 h à 23 h 45, suivi d’un DJ set jusqu’à 1 h.
💃 Samedi et dimanche 15–16 novembre – Ateliers avec Alyssa & Nicholas
Perfectionnez vos habiletés et dansez avec des amis, anciens et nouveaux!
Rejoignez Alyssa Beard et Nicholas Tran pour deux jours de cours en couple et en solo à St. John the Evangelist (154, rue Somerset Ouest à Elgin).
Les ateliers se tiendront de 13 h à 18 h chaque jour, avec une pause dîner.
🥁 Samedi 15 novembre – Bataille des orchestres
Revivez l’esprit légendaire du Savoy Ballroom, où les batailles d’orchestres ont marqué l’âge d’or du swing!
Deux groupes puissants s’affrontent ici même à Ottawa pour le titre de suprématie du swing :
Michaël Srey Legacy Band (Montréal) contre Johnny Vegas All-Star Band (Ottawa).
Une seule scène, deux orchestres, une énergie sans fin (aucune pause!) — qui remportera vos applaudissements?
Les portes ouvrent à 20 h 30. La bataille se déroulera de 21 h à 23 h 45, suivie d’un DJ set de Nick Tran jusqu’à 1 h.
