In the beginning, the instruments are like soothing sounds that will gently ease you into a relaxed meditative state. The focus is more “bathing” in the sound, allowing the sound to wash over you. Generally, this type of experience is more relaxation focused.A Sound Journey is an experience that invites you to go deeper and inward. I play my instruments with the intention to guide you through a journey of emotions, auditory stories, and sensations that allow you to connect, feel, and process. The sounds help teach your nervous system how to regulate. Through the journey of meeting and releasing different stored emotions, in a safe held way, you are freed of the task of holding them and feel more peaceful and at ease. My background as Clinical Hypnotist for over a decade assures you're in the hands of an experienced practioner. When you leave a sound journey you feel lighter and like you have nourished yourself deeply.What are the benefits of attending?There are many benefits to attending a session.There are times when emotions come up and either we’re not sure how to deal with them or we say we’ll deal with them later. This is that chance.The sounds and sensations created in the Sound Journey are a small example (a microclimate) of your life. They show you how you respond to your life in general; great feedback for your day to day life.I design the journeys in a way to help teach you how to process your feelings and how to regulate your nervous system. We practice the art of meeting your feelings and then how to come back into the parasympathetic state – rest and digest. Throughout the experience you will gain skills, tools, and experience on how to feel/process emotions and then regulate afterwards.With the group experiences, many are surprised at how integral community is in healing and how nourishing it feels. Our nervous system can regulate easier and more efficiently when in a group of caring, compassionate people.
