This is your chance to learn more about introducing solids and infant feeding practices from an experienced and well-recognized doula. And meet parents with children of a similar age!Who can participate: Parents and caregivers with children 3 to 12 months. You are welcome to bring your baby to the workshop. Infants will be offered age-appropriate toys to engage with during the workshop.When: September 23rd from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pmWhere: 333 Churchill Avenue North, Ottawa.This event will take place at the resource centre of Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton, located at the back of the building. You can access this entrance on foot through the employee parking lot.What to expect: A welcoming environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and chat with a Doula while meeting parents with children the same age.Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and treats will be served during the workshop.Schedule1:30 pm - 1:45 pm - Welcome.1:45 pm -2:05 pm - Meghan will share about the topic2:05 pm - 2:15 pm - Q & A with Meghan2:15 pm - 3:00 pm - Parents are welcome to stay and chat!3:00 pm - Closing. Time to go home! Thanks for coming :)Don’t worry if you arrive a little later or need to leave early. We want everyone to feel comfortable and to participate at their own pace.What to bring: Please bring a blanket for your baby and indoor shoes (you are welcome to wear socks!). We may have extra blankets available. Please let us know ahead of time, and we will do our best to accommodate.*Parking note. Please note that we have no parking on site. You can find free 3-hour parking on nearby streets such as Wilmont Ave, Whitby Ave, or Madison Ave, or paid 2-hour parking along Churchill Avenue.If you come walking, stroller parking is available at the back by the entrance door.If you have any questions or concerns, please email Paula at resource@childrensvillage.on.ca.
