La famille LeBlanc’s music will take you on a musical journey through Poitou in France, where the Acadians arrived as refugees in the mid-18th century, then on to Louisiana and back to Canada's east coast for a feast of Acadian musicality.   

This family with Acadian roots plays a variety of 19th-century tunes unknown to other Celtic nations such as Ireland, Brittany and Scotland. Their repertoire is deeply rooted in Celtic and Acadian traditions. The three daughters perform on the concertina, whistle and fiddle. The mother also sings some of the oldest Acadian songs and ballads, accompanied by baroque, jazz and traditional piano arrangements by the father of the family. Make way for the show!  

Admission is free, however space on the Wood Terrace is limited to 400 guests and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited and cannot be reserved, so we recommend arriving early and bringing a chair to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment. For guests arriving after capacity is reached, an overflow seating area outside the Wood Terrace with an obstructed view will be available.

Avec la famille LeBlanc, la musique devient un voyage : du Poitou, en France, terre d’accueil de la population acadienne au milieu du XVIIIe, jusqu’à la Louisiane, avant de revenir sur la côte est du Canada, pour une plongée vibrante au cœur de la tradition musicale acadienne. 

Cette famille d’origine acadienne fait revivre un répertoire varié d’airs du XIXe profondément enracinés dans les traditions celtiques et acadiennes et rarement entendus ailleurs en Irlande, en Bretagne ou en Écosse. Sur scène, les trois filles jouent du concertina, de la flûte irlandaise et du violon, la mère chante certaines des plus anciennes chansons et ballades acadiennes et le père orchestre le tout au piano avec des arrangements à la fois baroques, jazz et traditionnels. Place au spectacle! 

L’entrée est gratuite selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. La terrasse en bois a une capacité maximale de 400 personnes et le nombre de places assises est limité. Comme il n’est pas possible de réserver, nous vous recommandons d’arriver tôt et d’apporter votre chaise pliante pour profiter au mieux de la soirée. Une fois la capacité maximale de la terrasse atteinte, une autre section à l’extérieur de la terrasse, avec vue obstruée, sera ouverte au public.
