Understanding and Preventing Floor Covering Failure. 1 CEU
The issues with floor covering installations are many and can quickly lead to conflict on site, delays and expensive mistakes. Planning ahead is the only way to ensure acceptable site conditions are provided for proper floor covering installation. Presentation content will include common floor covering installation issues, sub-floor flatness, concrete dry times, moisture issues and testing requirements. Content will also include NFCA installation standards and specification resources available to support the entire construction team plan to avoid the recurring problems and leave clients with warranties in place.
about the presenter:
Chris has worked in the floor covering industry for over 25 years. During this time, he has been a flooring contractor, manufacturer's representative and business owner. As CEO of the National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) he works with the Board of Directors to promote NFCA standards and updated flooring specifications for commercial floor covering installations. He also operates the NFCA's Quality Assurance Program, a specifiable, third party inspection review service for commercial projects and is a certified floor inspector. Chris speaks at trade shows, travels to educate all construction parties and promotes the standards detailed in the NFCA Floor Covering Reference Manual.
