The course starts from simple pamphlet binding structures and end with two styles of hardcover books.Participants are guided through basic bookbinding skills, the principles behind the book structure, recommended materials and suppliers, and step by step bookbinding, and much more! This course prepares you to explore bookbinding on your own or continue with more advanced studies. All tools and shop supplies will be available.Instructor : Spike Minogue, CBBAG Certified, North Bennett Street School Bookbinding Diploma (Boston, MA)Suitable for beginners and all experience levels.This workshop is the first of the CBBAG core curriculum workshops and is a prerequisite for CBBAG Bookbinding II.Materials costs are included in the workshop fees.Participants must be CBBAG members (student or full member) to join this course.
