He has been active in Palestine solidarity for more than a decade. Jason previously worked in independent publishing with Black Rose Books and Daraja Press. He is the editor of Take the City (Black Rose Books, 2022) and has published essays on media, municipalism, Hannah Arendt, and Murray Bookchin.Samira Mohyeddin is an award winning Toronto based journalist and former producer and host at CBC Radio and CBC Podcasts. She is the founder and managing editor of On The Line Media.James Kafieh is a Palestinian who started his activism in response to Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon. He served as president of the Canadian Arab Federation during the first Gulf War. Today, he serves as vice-president of Palestinian Canadian Congress. In his private life, he is a lawyer working at one of Ontario’s network of Legal Clinics providing free services to people on the lowest economic margins of society.Waleed Ibrahim is the son of a Palestinian refugee and has lived his entire life in the diaspora. His father was born in Jaffa, Palestine, 11 years before the creation of the state of Israel, and was among the approximately 750,000 Palestinians expelled from their homeland during the 1947-48 Nakba. Waleed serves as President of the Association of Palestinian Arab Canadians, Ottawa’s longest-standing Palestinian community association, and has been a long-time advocate for justice and human rights in Palestine.
