- **Event Description**: Hey Friends! If you’re in town on Friday the 26th of June do NOT cook dinner that night! Come to this community BBQ. It starts at 5 and I’ve heard that on 3 of the sides of the church a different meal will be being served:

-Your typical hamburger and hot dog BBQ
-Tacos! (Who doesn’t love tacos.!?)
-Tri-tip and coleslaw 

There is going to be SO MUCH FOOD! And hopefully fun. I know the kids will have a blast. The parking lot will have lots of activities. Oh yes, and of course it’s FREE! 

Why? Don’t worry-we are not going to try to convert you! It is simply to enjoy a community get together. So please come! Seriously. I know it can feel a bit strange going to a church you don’t attend, but get over that and come! I promise-you’ll be glad you did! So if you’ve read this far, be brave, mark going, put it in your calendar right now, and come!! (And no, you do not need to scan the QR code to RSVP). 

After the food and parking lot fun there is a broadcasted concert put on by the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square (formally known as the “Mormon Tabernacle Choir”). This choir is unique for quite a few reasons: 

1. The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is made up entirely of unpaid volunteers. The singers are teachers, nurses, engineers, parents, retirees, and people from all walks of life who rehearse for hours each week simply because they love music. 

2. The choir has earned Grammy Awards, performed for presidents and world leaders, and is known internationally. 

3. Their weekly broadcast, Music & the Spoken Word, has been on the air continuously since 1929, making it one of the longest-running radio programs in the world!

So-if you enjoy music-you will enjoy the broadcast as well.
