Cruckton ploughing society are excited to put on our first training day!
The purpose of this day is to invite keen enthusiasts to come along and get pointers on match ploughing.
We’re going to run 3/4 classes where we will have members ploughing plots and giving pointers along the way. It’s aimed at both younger people looking to get into ploughing and older members who are just after a few tips and pointers.
Class 1 - Reversible. This is for anyone wanting to get involved with commercial match ploughing, if your wanting to come along and try your hand at ploughing at a match then this might be the boost you need to get the entry form filled in.
Class 2 - Classic reversible. This class has become more popular over the last few years and we’re seeing more and more entrance coming forward.
Class 3 - Conventional. This is aimed at people who want to get into conventional ploughing but haven’t got a clue where to start. How to make an opening, what the judges are after and how to finish off.
Class 4 - European style. This class is quite complicated and with enough interest we can have a class ploughing to show everyone how to get into the class.

This event is purely tutorial and doesn’t require you to bring tractors and ploughs.
