- **Event Description**: Hop on the eco-buggy and explore Volusia County's newest conservation land!About this EventJoin Resource Stewardship Director Nick Dunnam, Chief of Land Management Hunter Folmar, and Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann on the Explore Volusia eco-buggy for a tour of the county’s newest Volusia Forever property, Riverbend Preserve. While touring the property, participants will learn how management plans are created and how land management staff restore native habitat.** Important note: Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. Visit Explore Volusia to download and complete the waiver ahead of time.** Some GPS devices and phone apps will take you to the wrong location. Please confirm the meeting place and directions ahead of time. You can navigate to Riverbend Preserve using this link: Marked Location in Osteen, FL United States - Apple MapsACTIVITY: The tour will take place on a hay-ride style, covered trailer with benches. There will be some hiking through wetland ecosystems as well.RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.AGES: All ages are welcome.ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet.
