# Event Details - **Event Name**: Pedaling Infidels Ride - Osteen and Green Springs - 8:00 AM start - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 25 Jul, 2026 at 12:00 pm – Sat, 25 Jul, 2026 at 02:00 pm - **Event Description**: Starting location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PJV4kUGuTG2Gx1Vp9 It's summer in Florida, so for the Pedaling Infidels, it's damn HOT AS HELL (See what we did there?) In July, we need SHADE, and this totally ride will deliver. There will be two choices of ride duration for riders with different capabilities. If you think you're a cycling newbie and want an easier ride--all on paved off-road trails--we have you covered! We go out and back to our starting point if you only want to do the first leg. Our more established riders will go further on the second leg. We'll meet in Osteen at the East Central Regional Rail Trail trailhead; Osteen Trail Head, 141-199 New Smyrna Blvd, Osteen, FL 32764, which offers water, bathrooms, and some convenience stores nearby. The first leg will takes us several miles east (to Guise Road) and back to the trailhead. The ride will be at a relaxed pace, all on paved off-roadway trails. For folks that want to stop there, we estimate it will be about 30-40 minutes of riding. For those that want a longer ride we'll continue the other way, riding all the way to Green Springs Park (beautiful spring viewpoint there) before returning. The full ride will be roughly 1 hour 30 minutes total (not counting stops). Restrooms and water are available at the start and a couple other locations along the route. Afterwards, we will head to the nearby Osteen Diner, which is the ultimate "greasy spoon" place for breakfast. Doug is our event host. ---------- Meetup is where all our events are posted. More HERE Our Inclusion Statement and Code of Conduct can be found HERE ---------- Beginner and intermediate riders will be fine on this "no-drop" ride, meaning we will not let anyone fall behind and get separated from the group. ---------- You MUST wear a helmet and sign a waiver of liability (do this in advance to save time). A parent or legal guardian must sign for, accompany, and be responsible for all persons under the age of 18. You only need to sign the liability waiver once. The ride leader and host, Doug, will arrive 30 minutes before the start time. ---------- Please make sure tires are pumped, you have water/snacks as needed and are prepared for other contingencies. You may want to bring a spare inner tube. If you don't have special bike clothes, that's fine! Wear comfortable athletic attire that will not get caught in your bike. Common courtesy to fellow riders and other folks on the trails is appreciated. Please have Emergency Contact Information on you (not on your phone). If you have something like a RoadID please wear it; otherwise, a paper in a baggie with the information on it will work as well.
