Through these spiritual exercises, participants will grow in curiosity regarding their internal mechanics and God's abundant presence. The focus will be on understanding our interiority through the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model as a means of intimate prayer. We all possess various parts—sad, joyful, anxious, or discouraged. Embracing these parts is a natural aspect of adult life; Ignatian prayer helps us familiarly share these interior movements with God, Jesus, or the Spirit. The retreat will include two or three talks a day and daily mass. There will be ample time to pray. This retreat is practical, encouraging curiosity, connection and compassion with ourselves and with God! Your time will be enhanced by the tranquility of the 61-acre grounds of Mariandale. There are walking trails, a labyrinth, beautiful trees, and seasonal inground swimming pool, all looking out on the majestic Hudson River. The Center also has indoor spaces for your relaxation and comfort. All of our meeting rooms, common rooms. and guest rooms are fully air-conditioned. All inclusive weekend includes workshop, private guest room, and all meals and snacks. Presenter Father Jeff Putthoff, SJ is a retreat leader and director of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. He is dedicated to helping others connect with God and is a national speaker on trauma-informed care, organizational dynamics, youth formation, Ignatian spirituality, and leadership.
