Class Description:
In this course, day one covers changes made to the 2026 National Electrical Code (NEC) such as new definitions, equipment safety, labeling, maintenance, and replacement parts resources. It also discusses the latest information on GFCI, Arc Fault Interrupter requirements, lighting load tables, and EV load allowances. Day two includes changes for receptacle and wiring techniques, switchboards, switchgear, panelboard changes, and electric heating equipment. The presentation also covers minor changes for special occupancy wiring, healthcare facility wiring, cannabis production equipment, agricultural wiring, and RV and mobile home receptacle modifications. Additionally, load calculations, GFPE equipment requirements, electric signs, welders, swimming pools and fountains installation changes, storage battery specifications, power transformers, and new Class 4 Fault-Managed Power Systems are reviewed.
