From girl to woman: How does the transition unfold across the world today? Across cultures, many experience a striking duality — the feminine is both celebrated and silenced, lifted up and yet constrained.
Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring three acclaimed authors from Latvia, Poland, and Austria — women who have made their mark as both writers and activists. Together, they will explore how womanhood is shaped, challenged, and redefined in different societies today.
The evening will also feature a special performance by Sofie Frost, former Norwegian Champion in SLAM poetry.
This event is part of EUNIC Norway’s workshop series “An Opportunity for Literature”, presented in collaboration with FOKUS and their campaign to raise awareness about female genital mutilation (FGM). As part of the campaign, guests are encouraged to wear something orange.
The event will be in English.
Free admission – open to everyone.
We’ll be serving tea, coffee, and light refreshments.
