Degrowth festivalen I forbindelse og samarbeid med den internasjonale konferansen i økologisk økonomi og nedvekst (Blindern, 24.06-27.06) inviterer kunstnere Ullevålseter og Hiley til elvekonsert og elvedåp i Akerselva. Performance Elvedåp er et rituale som inviterer til samvær med elva, som en slags konfirmasjon av vårt forhold til elva, vann og natur. Dåpen er et poetisk bilde av tilhørighet med elva, hvor deltagere blir invitert til å svøpes av elva. Ritualet er en aktivisme mot vassdragsloven som ble svekket i februar. Vi anser Akerselva som en bærebjelke av Norges hovedstad, og dermed representerer elva alle elver i Norge. Aksjonen handler om å skape bevissthet rundt vann; Oslos vannåre, villaksen og vannkilden Maridalsvannet. In connection with and in collaboration with the international conference on ecological economics and Degrowth (Blindern, June 24th-27th), artists Ullevålseter and Hiley invite you to a river concert and river baptism in the Akerselva. I over 40 år har hun jobbet mye gjennom sitt engasjement i kinesisk kunst og Dao-filosofi med en bred del av det norske samfunnet. Hun har holdt regelmessig undervisning i Taijiquan-klasser og trent lærere til å undervise. Hun har i mange år utviklet nære tilknytninger til Daoist- og Taijiquan-mestere, akademikere og institusjoner i Kina, og i over 15 år har hun organisert årlige ekskursjoner med sine studentdelegater til Kina, arrangert av Beijing Chapter of China People's Association of Friendship with Foreign Countries. Gjennom dette arbeidet har hun vært en viktig «ambassadør» for Norge for å fremme mennesker til forståelse.
