Forecasts indicate temperatures and wind chills well below safe levels for extended outdoor activity, posing significant risk of cold-related health issues for participants and spectators alike.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. The health and safety of everyone involved—including children, volunteers, and City staff—is our top priority. We sincerely apologize for the sudden change and share in your disappointment, recognizing the time and effort that has gone into preparing floats and performances.

At this time, a rescheduled date is not planned due to the tight holiday timeline and logistical requirements of the event. We hope everyone will join us in Downtown Oshkosh on December 13 for Reindeer on the Square, which promises festive activities for all ages.

Join us for the Downtown Oshkosh Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Parade presented by Amcor. This year’s parade theme is “Stories that Spark The Season"

Enjoy festive music in Opera House Square from 5-6 p.m., the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. and the parade beginning at 6:15 p.m. 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to bridge construction, the parade route begins at the intersection of N. Main/Otter Ave. and heads North until the intersection of N. Main/Irving.
