- **Event Description**: Join us for an exciting workshop designed just for boys aged 8-17! Whether they’re brand new to coding or eager to level up their skills.About this EventWorkshop OverviewBuilding on the foundations introduced in September, students will move from learning the basics to creating and exploring more meaningful technology projects.Beginner students will expand their first webpage into a structured personal website using HTML headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and images. Advanced students will take the next step in their Artificial Intelligence journey by exploring the data behind AI, using real datasets and beginner Python to identify patterns and connect evidence to real-world problems.Whether returning from September or joining us for the first time, students will have the opportunity to code, explore, build, analyze, and create.Beginner Track - HTML Foundations: Build Your WebsiteBeginner students will go beyond their first webpage and learn how the different building blocks of HTML work together to create a complete website.Using HTML and EduBlocks, students will work with headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and images while building About Me, Interests, and Favourites sections for their personal website.Students will also learn why opening and closing tags matter, how links and images work, and how to identify and fix common HTML mistakes.Beginner Track Learning OutcomesBy the end of the workshop, students will be able to:Use HTML headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and images to structure a webpage.Build About Me, Interests, and Favourites sections for a personal website.Understand how HTML tags and attributes such as href, src, and alt work.Test, identify, and fix common HTML errors in their webpage.Every student will leave with a more complete version of their own personal website, which they will continue developing throughout the Technology Year.Advanced Track - Python for Data ExplorationAdvanced students will move from understanding what Artificial Intelligence is to exploring one of its most important building blocks: data.Students will learn how datasets are organized using rows and columns, distinguish between categorical and numeric data, and begin using Python and Google Colab to inspect real datasets.Through hands-on activities, students will look for patterns, averages, missing information, and other meaningful observations. They will also explore responsible data use by asking important questions about privacy, fairness, bias, and who may be missing from a dataset. Most importantly, students will connect what they discover in the data to the real-world problem they identified in their AI Idea Journal during September.Advanced Track Learning OutcomesBy the end of the workshop, students will be able to:Explain how rows, columns, categories, and numeric values organize a dataset.Use beginner Python tools to inspect and understand data.Identify specific patterns and observations from a real dataset.Connect data evidence and responsible AI considerations to their own project idea.October moves the Advanced Track from AI ideas to evidence, preparing students for future workshops in data visualization, machine learning, and AI project development.Take-Home AssignmentStudents will receive a Take-Home Assignment to reinforce the skills introduced during the workshop.Beginner students will continue improving their personal websites and begin thinking about the colours and design they would like to introduce in the next stage. Advanced students will explore a dataset that interests them, identify specific observations, and continue developing the data requirements and questions for their AI project.Assignments will be submitted through the students' Moodle accounts before the next workshop.Materials Provided FREEBlack Boys Code will provide all workshop learning materials and structured instruction FREE of charge, including:Coding and project activitiesStudent workbooks and guided exercisesHTML and web development resourcesPython and data exploration activitiesAI Idea Journal and project-planning resourcesInstructor support throughout the workshopNo previous coding experience or personal equipment is required.Come ready to build the web, explore data, solve problems, and turn your ideas into technology! If you’re unsure who your Chapter Leader is, please contact eventsupport@blackboyscode.com to get connected and learn how you can support your local team.Register Now, Space Is Limited! https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/512e55d0-c06f-11f1-aa7e-893ff00ac3f2-rimg-w1200-h600-dcb8c8d8-gmir.jpg
