Formerly, Mitchell County Outdoors has supported conservation efforts and learning as the "Mitchell County Environmental Education Foundation". To reflect their mission of engaging people with the outdoors through environmental education, outdoor activities, and volunteering, they are excited to support and partner with Mitchell County Conservation on a series of new events and programs. Want to learn more about what "Mitchell County Outdoors" has planned and find fellow outdoors-y friends? Then join us for a Sunday afternoon OUTDOORS to explore winter camping, enjoy a warm drink by the campfire, take a stroll through the winter woods, try out fat-tire biking, and maybe even do some sledding or cross-country skiing (if we have snow!). Don't want to be OUTDOORS but still enjoy nature? No problem! There will be wildlife watching, nature craft, and outdoor activity trackers/color pages available inside, all while learning more about what Mitchell County Outdoors supports. They'd love to have you join by becoming a member!
Please wear weather appropriate, warm clothing - including boots, hats, and gloves. All other supplies provided!
