Schedule of events:

Friday, June 26th: Public Archaeology Day with AHC (see Old Cahawba’s FB event for more information regarding this event.)

Saturday, June 27th: 

9:00 am: Doors open and silent book auction begins

9:30 am - 11:30 am: Field and lab activities begin. Help Old Cahawba with field and lab work associated with their recent field school.

11:30 am - 1:30 pm: break for lunch, bring your own lunch for a picnic or visit nearby restaurants.

1:30 pm - 2:00 pm: Presentations related to the AHC field school and site research.

2:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Panel related to archaeological practice and employment in Alabama

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Group tour of Old Cahawba via wagon.

4:00 pm - Book auction closes and AAS 2026 Summer Meeting ends.

5:00 pm - Old Cahawba Archaeological Park closes
