Dance Double Bills
Please join us for two double-bill evenings of new dance performance works created by members of Edge Hill Dance staff in collaboration with the BA (Hons) Dance students.
Have I, or Haven’t I?
This piece asks the performers to question whether movement is new, and to challenge themselves to discover novel ways of dancing both throughout the creative process and in this live performance. To develop as performers we must notice patterns, habits and preferences then push ourselves to do something else and discover something else.
Choreographic Direction: Louisa Robey in collaboration with first year dancer students.
Dancers:
Freya Dallaston, Charlotte Davies, Cerys Goodwin, Keira Ham, Lily Jones, Jade Leonard, Filipa (Pip) Marcos Cadima, Isabel Murphy

Radiance Through the Ruins
Inspired by writer and social activist Alice Walker and her work on ‘Hard Times Require Furious Dancing’ we have crafted a full-length dance work that draws on the dancers’ wish list and different cultural approaches to moving and being together. Looking out into the world, we have encountered systems and landscapes in ruins; we have responded with dance, recognising that hope is muscled, treating ruins as, according to Rebecca Solnit, a site for generative possibility.
Choreographic direction: Jessica Clarke, Michelle Man, Louisa Robey in collaboration with the company.
Dance Company:
Amy Challen, Charlotte Eastwood, Ruby Edwards, Jessica Geraghty, Emily Jones, Katie Leneghan, Neve Linaker, Ellie Mason, Charlie-May McDonald, Jennifer Micklethwaite, Freya Owen, Lily Shaw, Emma Vaughan, Katie Vaughan
