? In the Food Forest at Salt Life Permaculture

Join us on Friday, June 12th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a casual, beautifully unstructured evening in the food forest!

As we wrap up our regular season, this open-to-the-public event is all about celebrating our students, relaxing, and connecting. There are no formal tours, structured projects, or work sessions planned—just a laid-back community hangout. However, the kids have full autonomy to give their own tours, show off their hard work, tend to their garden plots, or harvest if they are feeling inspired!

✨ A Welcoming Space for All

While the Sprout and Spark students are all between the ages of 7-13, this event is open to the public. We will be welcoming local youth who are not currently homeschooling, as well as plenty of younger siblings. Let's extend our warmest food forest hospitality! We kindly ask our regular families to help provide some extra eyes to help the younger kids navigate the pathways and gardens safely.

? Special Guest: Cotton the bunny will be out and about to say hello and receive some gentle pets!

? The Menu:   Our Sprout & Spark students took charge of planning the menu for the evening, and the results are wonderfully eclectic (it looks like it came from three different menus). To complement their unique culinary vision, attendees are invited to bring along fresh fruit or veggies to share.  

•	Student Favorites: Watermelon, mango, pineapple, grapes, and apples! Fresh veggies with ranch dip are also a massive hit.

•	? IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: Salt Life Permaculture is a strictly PEANUT-FREE campus. Please ensure absolutely no peanut products are brought to this event to protect our learners with severe allergies.

? Mark Your Calendars: Free Monthly Meet-Ups!

If you cannot make it this Friday, or if you just want more time in the forest, do not forget about our Free Monthly Meet-Ups every 3rd Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM! (Upcoming dates: June 19th, July 18th, August 15th).

Just like this Friday, these Saturday events are open to all youth, families, and friends. We get up to all sorts of fun—from exploring the gardens and spending time with Cotton, to deep dives into permaculture practices like our recent custom biochar kiln demonstration burn, plant tours, and food forest lunches.
