Walt Disney Feature Animators Panel
Explore the history of Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida, the groundbreaking studio that operated at Disney-MGM Studios from 1989 to 2004. Meet the artists who contributed to such beloved films as Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mulan, and Lilo & Stitch, and how the studio helped define Disney’s animation renaissance.

This program is free as part of Free Access Day.

The panel includes:
Pam Coats
Pam Coats has worked in animation for over 30 years and has contributed her talents as producer and creative executive for more than 20 feature animated movies and shorts. Among them are Mulan, Fantasia 2000, Lilo & Stitch, Brother Bear, Gnomeo and Juliet, Scoob!, and Thelma the Unicorn.

Dominic Carola
Dominic Carola is an award-winning animation director, entrepreneur, and visual storyteller with over 30 years of experience in film and animation. A Walt Disney Feature Animation veteran, his credits include The Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, and Lilo & Stitch. He later founded Premise Entertainment and is the creator of the award-winning animated pilot My Neighbor, currently streaming on the ANGEL platform.

Barry Cook
Barry Cook is an animation director and animator who began his career at Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1981. His animation credits include Tron, Oliver & Company, and Captain EO, and he went on to direct Mulan, marking his feature directing debut after 17 years at Disney.

Aaron Blaise
Aaron Blaise is an animator, director, and wildlife artist best known for his 21-year career at Walt Disney Animation Studios. His credits include Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, and Mulan, and he co-directed Brother Bear, which received an Academy Award nomination. He now runs Creature Art Teacher, an online art education platform.
