Come join us for a transformative experience at The Heart of Healing: A Closer Look into IFS event! Dive deep into the world of Internal Family Systems therapy and discover the power of healing from within. This in-person event will guide you through interactive exercises, group discussions, and meditations to help you connect with your inner self and learn how to heal emotional wounds. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the IFS approach in a supportive and nurturing environment. Space is limited to only 14 participants! This training offers a more in-depth exploration of IFS, so participants are encouraged to have a basic understanding beforehand.

Info: In this deeper dive into Internal Family Systems (IFS), we will begin with a brief review of understanding parts and then move into a focused exploration of direct and indirect access approaches. These approaches are vital for helping clients tap into their Self-energy—the calm and compassionate core that guides healing.


Through discussion and experiential exercises, we will:


Revisit the core understanding of parts and their roles.


Explore the differences between direct and indirect access.


Practice strategies for engaging protectors to build safety and trust.


Learn how these methods foster deeper connection with Self.

Info: In this session, we will take a gentle walk to a picturesque gazebo in one of Baldwin Park’s beautiful green spaces, allowing nature to support our exploration of inner connection and self-discovery.


Through a guided experiential meditation, you will have the opportunity to tune into your internal system, noticing the different parts that show up and how they respond in a calm, open space. Immersing in nature enhances self-awareness, presence, and relaxation, creating the perfect setting for a deeper understanding of IFS in both mind and body.


Allow yourself to breathe, listen, and be fully present—both with nature and with yourself.

Info: Observe Internal Family Systems (IFS) in action through a live role modeling of direct access. In this session, I will work with a volunteer to demonstrate how to engage parts directly, explore their roles, and create space for the Self’s natural leadership to emerge.

Info: Practice Internal Family Systems (IFS) together by experiencing both direct access and indirect access approaches. In this session, you will pair up with one another to try out these methods, taking turns as therapist and client. This hands-on practice will help you explore how each approach engages parts differently and how both pathways support access to Self-energy.

Info: As we come to the end of our retreat, we will take time to pause, reflect, and integrate all that we have explored together.
