6:15pm-7:15pm Tribal Fusion Fundamentals
Great for beginners and experienced dancers alike! This style is as exciting as it is varied! This course will focus on the styles' signature muscular and serpentine movements and will lay the foundation to solid understanding of this unique form of dance.
7:20pm-8:20pm Tribal Fusion Advancing Skills
Open to students that have completed Tribal Fusion Fundamentals. This course takes us up a notch in our understanding and execution of this style. It's time to advance our technique, improvisation skills, inspirations, and more. Each class will begin with stacks and studies to keep our technique sharp, then we'll progress into steps, scales, combos, and more!
Held in the First Floor Large studio.
6:15pm-7:15pm Tribal Style Improv Fundamentals
Perfect for beginners or advanced students looking to refine their skills. This style is known for its rich and earthy feel, drawing inspiration from the Spanish Flamenco, Classic and Folkloric Indian dance styles, North African folk dances, as well as Middle Eastern dances. It is truly unique as this dance works from a set vocabulary and formations to create improvisational dance in the moment through cues and transitions among a group of dancers. Come and learn the magic of dancing together! Lacey will guide students through the signature FatChanceBellydance Style steps that started it all, as well as some of our favorite dialect steps unique to our school.
7:20-8:20pm Advance Tribal Style Improv
Open to students that have completed Tribal Style Improv Fundamentals. Ready to level up? Looking to not lose that well deserved technique? Join Lacey each week as she takes you through movements and concepts that build on our Improv basics. We'll cover FatchanceBellydance steps as well as dialect, formation drills, new concepts, and more.
Florida Tribal Dance Safety Precaution Notes:
Our in studio classes will take place in the Large 1st floor (Wednesday classes) and 2nd floor(Tuesday classes) studios at Russian Ballet.
There will be hand sanitizer at the door upon entering the studio, as well as disposable face covering should you need one.
When arriving please do not gather closely, find an indicated spot in class and settle in.
There is ample space for all to maintain distance, however we are implementing the following guidelines:
1.With our new mandates, wearing a face covering when arriving, setting up, and breaking down/exiting class is required. There will be enough social distancing to satisfy the exception written in the mandate, if you choose not to wear one during class. Lacey will be wearing a face covering but also using a mic to project her voice during class.
2. Please be sure to bring your own water bottle
3. All students please bring your own yoga mat or a large beach towel. We will get creative with these to help with keeping distance during class.
4. Please, for the time being, refrain from hugs, or personal space contact. Excited waves, air high fives, and smiles are all welcome!
