Can you believe it's been 10 years since Ten10, Orlando's best neighborhood brewery, opened its doors for the first time? I'll bet Mike and the rest of the Ten10 team can! Since introducing themselves to the Mills/50 and Ivanhood areas a decade ago, our little, local brewpub has grown leaps and bounds, treating us to a robust, rotating beer list, a food menu that never ceases to surprise newcomers and seasoned regulars alike (those WINGS!!), bands, rib fests, vinyl nights and pop-ups, book fairs, comedy shows, the occasional karaoke, trivia, meet-ups for both runners and walkers, and the list goes on and on. Did I mention there's also a monthly b-movie night? Yeah, that, too. Speaking of, let's kick the 10-year birthday week off with a more recent classic that celebrates the art of brewing beer and, more importantly, drinking it: Broken Lizard's "Beerfest."

After the death of their German grandfather (Donald Sutherland) , restauranteur brothers Jan and Todd Wolfhouse (Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske) travel to the motherland to honor Grandpapa's final wishes by leaving his ashes at Oktoberfest. Unbeknownst to them, their destination is actually the "real" Oktoberfest, Beerfest, a highly-exclusive, undergound Beer Olympics. Or Beerlympics, if you wanna be clever about it. After the brothers are humiliated by the champion German team, they vow to seek revenge by creating their own Team America, made up of out-of-their-prime buddies from their old college days, for the purpose of returning to the following year's Beerfest, taking the gold, and clearing their family's tarnished repuation. Brought to us by Broken Lizard, the same comedy team that gifted us with the "Super Troopers" movies, "Club Dread," "The Slammin' Salmon," and "Tacoma FD," this comedic story about beer and the people who love chugging it also stars Cloris Leachman, Will Forte, Jay Chandrasekhar (who also directed), Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, and Mo'Nique, with a special cameo by the Redheaded Stranger himself, Willie Nelson.

Come on over to the B-Side on July 19th at 8:00 PM to help celebrate 10 full years of Ten10 with the best beer and food in town, all while pissing your lederhosen with laughter. Admission is always free, but, as they say in the movie, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."
