She began practicing yoga as a necessity to help reduce stress and relieve extreme back pain.Joyce's Journey:I “worked out” regularly but finally in 2007 my back “went out”. I could no longer walk fully upright, I could not work out, I could barely sleep and work. I lost weight from the pain; it was a depressing time. I met with several doctors, all recommended surgery. Then I met a doctor, who suggested that I consider acupuncture and Yoga. He explained how my disk herniations could be a result of my stress and lifestyle. After finding an amazing yoga teacher and following a regiment of acupuncture, I was able to resume all of my activities. It was a long but amazing journey. I promised myself once I retired I would become a yoga teacher, and share my experience with others to help them live healthier, better lives. I tell you this story to let you know anyone can practice yoga at anytime in their life.Participants must withdraw from classes at least 5 days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.Only those registered for the class will be permitted to participate.
