Benmont Tench

A true musician’s musician, Grammy-winning instrumentalist Benmont Tench has shaped the sound of modern music from his groundbreaking work as a founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, to studio sessions with Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and the Rolling Stones. As producer Jimmy Iovine put it: “If you want a track to sound better, you just put Benmont’s part higher in the mix.”

Now, after four decades at the keyboards for the Heartbreakers, Benmont steps into a solo spotlight, bringing his talents as a singer-songwriter and prolific performer to the Judson’s stage for the first time. You’re invited to an intimate evening of rare artistry and soulful storytelling when Benoit performs songs from his new solo album, The Melancholy Season.
